About Surf

How do I know what is my surf level?

Beginner: are new to surfing, have only tried it a handful of times on a softboard, or have been out of the water for more than two years.

Intermediate: surfer is fully independent in the water, capable of paddling out to the lineup, consistently catching green waves, and riding down the line in both directions with confidence. This level reflects strong wave-reading skills, board control, and reliable surfing technique.

Advanced: surfer is confident in a variety of surf conditions and can ride bigger waves with control and precision. They perform advanced maneuvers such as turns and cut backs, possess strong wave-reading skills, and is focused on improving their performance surfing through continuous progression and challenge.

We carefully select the right surfboard for each surfer based on their skill level, goals, and daily wave conditions. This personalized surfboard selection helps you catch more waves, build confidence in the water, improve your surfing technique, and get the most out of every surf session.

Based on level and water conditions we choose for the each level different spots every day.

As AYUSA Surf Camp will provide water and lunch, sun umbrellas and surf equipment. That means you need to bring only your own requirements like towel, swimwear, sunprotection (cap, sunscreen, etc.)

We keep our surf lesson groups small, with a maximum of six surfers per instructor, to ensure high-quality surf coaching and personalized feedback. Whenever possible, you’ll stay with the same surf coach throughout your stay, allowing for consistent progress tracking, tailored instruction, and faster surfing improvement.

If you’re looking for a fun surf holiday that combines surfing, beach lifestyle, and Moroccan culture, the “Surf for Fun” package is ideal. It combines surf lessons with plenty of free time between sessions, allowing you to explore the local area, discover famous places, and enjoy the relaxed rhythm of the village atmosphere.

For surfers focused on improvement and skill development, the “Surf Like a Pro” package is the perfect choice. This surf coaching program is designed to boost your surfing performance through focused training, video analysis, and surf theory sessions. Whether you are an intermediate or advanced surfer, you will work on technique, wave reading, and progression step by step with structured surf coaching.

If you are seeking a more holistic surf retreat experience, the “Surf & Flow” package is designed to connect surfing, body, and mind. Alongside daily surf sessions, you will enjoy five yoga classes focused on flexibility, mobility, breathwork, and recovery. This surf and yoga package supports balance, relaxation, and inner wellbeing while improving your overall surfing performance.

How do I secure my spot in my booking?

By paying the 50% deposit you confirm your booking and secure your place in your surfcamp.

The best surf season is from the beginning of September to the end of April.

Sep-Nov: Mild swells perfect for beginners and intermediate surfers
Temperature on land: 20-30°C water: 15-20°C

December-January: Phases with bigger swells that are for advanced and professional surfers. Waves can be up to 3 m from time to time. But you will still have lots of spots for beginner surfers.
Temperature on land: 15-25°C water: 10-15°C

February-April: Mild swells perfect for all levels. Occasionally bigger swells between 1.5-2.5 m
Temperature on land: 20-30°C water: 15-20°C

May-August: soft swells to flat periods, perfect for land activities and beach holiday
Temperature on land: 25-35°C water: 18-22°C.

Get prepared for sun and beach but bring a warm jacket for the nights as it can get colder sometimes. Please be aware that you are visiting a country with Arabic influence which means you should consider respectful clothing. It is convenient to wear swimwear on the beach but please not in the village.
Make sure you have a valid passport for at least 6 months.

Yes we welcome all kids and especially families in AYUSA Surf Camp. We will make your stay as convenient as possible. Please just be aware that we do not provide supplies for kids under 7 years old, if you chose to come please make sure to bring your own car seat and water security.
