Surf FAQ

How do I know my surf level?

Beginner: you are new to surfing, have only tried it a handful of times on a softboard, or have been out of the water for more than two years.

Intermediate: you are fully independent in the water, can paddle out to the line-up, consistently catch green waves and ride down the line in both directions with confidence.

Advanced: you are confident in a variety of conditions, can ride bigger waves with control, perform manoeuvres such as turns and cutbacks and want to keep progressing.

Which board do I choose?

We select the right surfboard for each surfer based on skill level, goals and the daily wave conditions. This helps you catch more waves, build confidence and get the most out of every session.

Which surf spot do we go to?

Based on your level and the conditions, we choose the best spot for each group every day.

What do I need to bring on a surf day?

We provide water, lunch, sun umbrellas and all surf equipment. You only need a beach towel, swimwear and sun protection (cap, sunscreen, etc.).

What are the groups like?

We keep groups small, with a maximum of six surfers per instructor, so everyone gets personal feedback. Whenever possible you stay with the same coach throughout your stay.

What is the difference between the packages?

“Surf for Fun” is ideal for a fun surf holiday: surf lessons with plenty of free time to explore the area and enjoy the relaxed village atmosphere.

“Surf like a Pro” is for surfers focused on progression: structured coaching, video analysis and theory sessions for intermediate and advanced surfers.

“Surf & Flow” connects surfing, body and mind: daily surf sessions plus five yoga classes focused on flexibility, mobility, breathwork and recovery.

I have never surfed before – can I join?

Absolutely! Our beginner lessons are made exactly for that. You should be able to swim, but if you feel nervous in the water, just let us know – we take our time and give you extra support whenever you need it.

Do I need to bring a wetsuit or a surfboard?

No. Surfboards and wetsuits are included in all surf packages – we choose the right equipment for your level and the conditions.

From what age can kids take surf lessons?

As soon as your child can swim, they are welcome to join a surf lesson.

Can I book single surf lessons or just rent equipment?

Yes. You can add single surf lessons to your stay on site, and you can also just rent a board and wetsuit.

What happens if there are no waves?

Thanks to the many spots around Tamraght and Taghazout we can usually find a suitable wave. On rare flat days we suggest alternatives such as a trip to Paradise Valley or a hammam – these are booked separately.
